JWC International are in the UAE this week attending the 36th GITEX technology conference, the largest ICT exhibition in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
The five-day event, which was inaugurated by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, is showcasing live demonstrations of next-generation technology and training solutions from governments and international companies that will transform Middle East businesses across all industries.
Across a space of over one million square feet, organisers expect over 100,000 visitors from 150 countries to take part, apart from 4,000 exhibiting companies and 230 speakers. JWC International's Commodore Geoffrey Billson RN (Retd) will be talking to offshore energy suppliers on cyber security training for staff and crew members. As the only GCHQ maritime and offshore specific approved cyber training company, we believe we can provide real value to the UAE shipowners and energy suppliers and are looking to build long term partnerships in the region.
JWC International's founder, Jordan Wylie said: "The annual GITEX conference and exhibition in Dubai has always been at the forefront of global innovation in the tech space and it is the perfect platform to launch our new suite of specialist cyber security programmes for the maritime and offshore sectors".
